Yogist Academy Internship at L'Oréal: A Review
Becoming a Well At Work® Facilitator can transform your company. We’ve gathered a heartfelt testimonial from a participant in the training led by Yogist’s Christelle Eisenschmidt for L’Oréal. We’ve kept the original format of the interview, featuring the trainer’s questions and the responses from our future Well At Work® Facilitator.
How did you discover and choose the Yogist Academy?
I’ve been working for the L’Oréal Group for 23 years. I discovered Yogist by following Anne-Charlotte Vuccino on LinkedIn. When I heard about the first session of the Yogist Academy in 2020, I jumped at the chance to learn more and signed up. At the time, I wanted to get trained and then apply what I’d learned within the company.
My goal was really to reconnect with my colleagues, especially in the wake of the COVID-19 lockdown, which had caused us to lose touch with one another. I had started taking steps on my own by organizing video calls with the group’s community of assistant coordinators, who are, after all, somewhat removed from the teams and projects. Then, I took a course with the Yogist Academy!
“Thanks to the training from Yogist Academy, I was able to share some yoga poses with my colleagues that they could do at their desks. It helped bring us closer together and contributed to our well-being at work, even though we were working remotely at the time.”
What were the benefits of Yogist's Well At Work training?
Thanks to the training from Yogist Academy, I was able to share some yoga poses with my colleagues that they could do at their desks. It helped bring us closer together and contributed to our well-being at work, even though we were working remotely at the time.
Gradually, my colleagues began asking for live workshops while working remotely. So I started demonstrating postures via video conference, and then in person during Workplace Well-Being Week in June.
I also had the opportunity to lead a workshop during Generation Days. I had prepared a 45-minute Yogist sequence. Then, at the end of the workshop, I handed out a questionnaire to give away books by Anne-Charlotte Vuccino.
Twenty-five participants happily joined in, and they still talk to me about it today. I’ve been asked to repeat this workshop once a month! With the help of my campus’s communications team, we promoted the Yogist.io “bodyguard” chatbot right from the start of the school year. This allowed participants and others to subscribe to the chatbot so they could continue the exercises on their own.
“Personally, I enjoy sharing the Yogist method; I think it’s something that should come naturally, something that should already be part of the community.”
How do you incorporate the Yogist method into your business?
Moving forward, I’d like to put together a proposal for Human Resources to suggest several workshops. For now, the workshops are held during the lunch break, so outside of my working hours.
I would like to see Yogist workshops included in the training catalog. That way, we could train employees in the workplace—whether in open-plan offices or dedicated areas—as well as beauty consultants, makeup artists, and factory workers. I believe there is a great deal that can be done, all of which ultimately falls under the CSR training plan.
