What’s the Well At Work® Game like in a corporate setting?
Yogist regularly visits companies to facilitate the Well At Work® game. Here is a testimonial from Aesio Mutuelle, for whom we had previously conducted a session during Quality of Life at Work Week, and who this time benefited from a session within one of its teams, expertly led by a Yogist-certified facilitator.
The nine employees are branch advisors who work directly with customers. Our client, Corinne B., wanted to surprise them with a Yogist workshop, as they could use a break. Here is her testimonial, as shared with Anne-Charlotte Vuccino, the founder of Yogist.
Corinne B.: I organize in-person meetings every month. This time, I wanted to give this team—which gives its all and is always dedicated and motivated—a chance to unwind. I wanted to give them a chance to enjoy themselves, away from the numbers and statistics.
The team was pleasantly surprised by the workshop we had organized for them with Yogist, and everyone loved spending the afternoon together. The facilitator, Cathy, is a lovely person—gentle and generous—who gave us a thorough explanation of the Yogist concept. She walked us through the workshop’s structure and the card game. Then we moved on to the practical session.
How the Well At Work® Game Works in the Workplace
I definitely noticed that everyone really let loose during that Well At Work® game. Just look at how we all ended up sprawled out on the table, heads on the desk, with marks on our foreheads—that’s how completely we let go!
The facilitator noticed that at first, some people weren’t exactly reluctant, but were wondering what was in store for them. But when we brought out the cards, curiosity got the better of them. Yoga? Cards?… The team was surprised by the cards, but once the game got going, everyone got fully involved. Even my manager joined in and played along. The atmosphere was lighthearted, and it was really nice to see them having so much fun with those cards.
That doesn’t mean it was a treasure hunt completely disconnected from work; everyone was able to relate it to their daily professional lives. Thanks to the card game, they were able to put their struggles into words and identify solutions. And beyond the physical aspect, the game served as a form of escape—at least, that’s how they saw it.
