Yogist breaks in a truck cab with 2L Logistics Group: a testimonial
A first in the logistics sector: a company that promotes health and wellness at every level, from desk-bound roles to logistics staff and truck drivers. Laure Besnier, communications manager at 2L Logistics, shares her insights.
Why did you choose Yogist, and which program did you select?
Laure Besnier:
The goal was really to prevent musculoskeletal disorders among all employees, whether they work in the office or on the road. Taking care of our employees was a top priority for us.
So we started by offering workshops for our office workers. Yogist instructors came to our office to see how all our employees worked, regardless of their position:
- our sedentary office workers;
- but also our mechanics, since we have truck repair shops integrated into our facilities;
- Next, our logistics staff, who prepare the vehicle batches for our drivers.
We wanted to place special emphasis on our truck drivers, who spend many hours sitting in their cabs and then loading and unloading vehicles. To that end, we’ve digitized the Yogist training program since they’re on the road all week. Thanks to our videos produced with Yogist, they now have access to all the information and guidelines they need to stay healthy before hitting the road, before and after loading, and in the evening to unwind after a long day.
You’ve also decided to use a chatbot. How do you use it?
We chose the Yogist chatbot for all our desk-bound employees. This allows them to log in either for a quick 15-minute break to take care of themselves, or for shorter 2-minute sessions. These short breaks allow them to stretch their bodies and clear their minds after two or three hours of sitting at their computers.
What is your goal with this whole Yogist setup?
Ultimately, we would like to train internal wellness ambassadors—that is, Yogist-certified employees who can share this sense of well-being with all teams across the 2L Logistics Group.
“Our teams appreciated our approach and feel valued. We wanted to show them that we can—and should—balance work and relaxation at the same time.”
Laure Besnier, Group Communications Manager
We also spoke with a driver named Emmanuel, with whom we filmed the short videos:
“I discovered parts of myself that I barely knew existed on a physical level, with quite a few poses that feel good for specific areas like the back and neck.”
"I didn't expect to be able to stretch in the cramped space of my cabin, but it actually works really well!"
